Who is the team behind BCI?

Bungee Consultants International is an Ottawa, Canada based company, established in 1991 and specializing in bungee jumping, ziplining, amusement rides, multi-activity towers, bungee athletic training as well as stunt engineering. For more information, see our company profile page.

Our team members are adventure minded, driven, loyal, health and fitness oriented individuals whom have all been in the industry for a decade or more. See some of our team profiles below:

Matt Lawrence

Director

Founded BCI in 1991 and today still serves as BCI president. Matt is part of the first wave of bungee entrepreneurs that entered the industry right at its infancy and has helped grow bungee jumping into what it is today.

In addition to being a pioneer in commercial bungee jumping operating, Matt has been a part of carrying out some of Canada's first commercial zipline projects at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, The Ripride at Great Canadian Bungee and most recently Interzip Rogers in downtown Ottawa.

Nick Steers

Director

Nick started his career with BCI in 2000. Over 20 years Nick has had a diverse resume inside the bungee and zipline industry ranging from international consulting, operational management, business development, training program creation and much more.

Nick's career sits on a strong base of Jump Master and zipline guide work, facilitating thousands of jumps and ziplines for thrill seekers from around the world.

Ian McKay

Maintenance Programs and Activity Infrastructure

Ian began working with BCI in 2005 and has been involved in many different roles in the company over his 16 year career. Ian has become a key contributor in the development of training systems maintenance programs and has participated in projects with BCI around the world.

Richie Wood

Production and Installation

Richie joined BCI in 2011 and has spent a decade serving the team in equipment production, maintenance and internationally as an amusement ride mechanic. Richie possesses sewing, harness fabrication and bungee cord construction knowledge and skills matched by few in the industry.

Jeremy Cahoon

Training and IP Development

Jeremy joined BCI in 2021 after serving as an outstanding Jump Master, zipline guide, trainer and site manager at Great Canadian Bungee since 2014. Jeremy now serves BCI with focus on training program development and IP improvements. He has experience working with other bungee jumping companies internationally and is also an active skydiver.
